7 Days Until I Close On My First House…

… and I am EXCITED!!

Never been through the process of buying a house before….not to bad.

I am a little worried that something will come out of left field and screw everything up though.

Jason’s Deli - Healthy!

What a great, healthy place to eat!  Not only do they have several vegetarian meals but a gluten free menu as well. Sweet.  Do other restaurants have gluten free menus?

Going Vegan

My wife and I watched the movie Forks Over Knives recently. We’ve also been reading the Kind Diet and the Engine 2 Diet.

We have turned into believers and are going to do it. We are going to do the plant based diet. Basically, being Vegans.

We are two weeks in and I feel absolutely great. More energy then before, weight has gone down.

I’m loving it.

Alright! I finally feel like I’m back on the wagon when it comes to running. I’m a creature of habit and once I was in the habit of not running I was stuck.
Thanks to many hints…my daughter calling me chubby and my son asking what my belly was…I’m at it again.  Just have to keep it up!

It’s Time To Start.

It’s time to start loosing weight. I give. I have reached the point where I can’t stand it any more. I’m fat. A fattie….a fatso.

Yes, FAT. Fat so that I can feel my shirt tugging at my stomach as I walk. Fat so that when I look in the mirror the first thing I see is the bulge around my waist. Just fat enough so that walking up the stairs leaves me out of breath. Yes, Fat.

I’ve been tracking my weight since the start of the year when I first thought about doing something about my weight. (Obviously, monitoring my weight was all that I did.)

I’m a data guy and the trend line is undeniable. Not only am I fat but I’m heading in the wrong direction.

Not only am I gaining weightI officially qualify as overweight! According to the app I’m using I would have to loose 30 pounds to fit into the middle of the green normal category.

I’ve been reading other Tumblr blogs of those who have not only started to work on their weight but have been successful at it too. It’s so motivating to read about and see the positive results that others have had.

So, It’s my turn. It’s my turn to start the transformation from fatso to athlete.

I promise to post about my story and to share the ups and downs as I go.
